This masterpiece created by the Japanese artist Shoko Okumura is an ode to the most ephemeral and intimate atmospheres of Japan, the cherry blossom.
The white pigment used to draw the original work is obtained from oyster shells.
Even today these pigments are produced in a very traditional way, by drying the shells well for 8 – 9 years, then they eliminate impurities and keep only the part of the mother-of-pearl which is the raw material of this pigment.
Serenity comes on a silver based support that enhances the details and creates a wonderful three-dimensional effect.
