This work is called in Japanese Shiki Matsuba (敷松葉), literally lying pine needles, and resumes an ancient technique used in the Kyoto gardens, where these needles were carefully picked and then placed under each type of tree, recreating the beauty of nature.
Pine Needles was created using the wood engraving technique, printing hundreds of times on the fabric two wooden matrices. Exclusively for Cabana the artist has created an original large adaptable to common domestic walls.
